Production / Case Studies / Bridgnorth Carnival
When the council in Bridgnorth made the decision to revive the town's carnival, they needed an audio supplier they knew they could trust to deliver a complex production with varied requirements. Following the parade through the centre of the Shropshire town, an arena stage hosting numerous live music and entertainment would entertain crowds throughout the day. Revolution Audio was suggested to the council by Bridgnorth resident and touring worship artist John Prockter, following our work with him on previous occasions.
We knew that flexibility and efficiency would be crucial for this job, in order to adapt to any potential schedule and line-up changes. With this in mind, preparation began weeks before the event, including negotiations with bands and the council. We have always believed in going the extra mile with communication, and we understand how important the performer to sound provider relationship is. Indeed, every member of the Revolution Audio team has been a member of a band before, and so we understand the demands of both sides. This experience allows us to work pro-actively, and builds a high level of trust and confidence in our services; all of which helps events on the day to run as smoothly as possible. The FOH System was based around HK Audio Projector, with a Soundcraft Si Compact 32 with Digital Snake and Stagebox providing the mixing. Despite the large outdoor space, the system filled the space with tremendous depth and clarity, with headroom to spare. The performing acts ranged from acoustic to rock and reggae, with the system turning its hand easily to the varying demands of the music. Indeed, numerous audience members came to see us at the mix position to compliment the quality of the sound. Two RCF Art 310A speakers were deployed behind the mix position, to reinforce announcements over a wider distance. Timer alignment and individual Graphic EQ processing was applied to these cabinets, with routing performed via a subgroup. On stage, six monitor mixes were provided, again enjoying full BSS Graphic EQ processing. Performers were also highly complimentary of the sound quality across the stage. The council also commented on the high levels of efficiency from the Revolution Audio team. The great variety of acts meant that stage changes were complex and time slots extremely limited. Despite this, the event remained on schedule for the full ten hours. Bridgnorth Carnival was another example our ability to work closely with event organisers and participants right from the very first enquiry. Our engagement with artists and organisers gives us a key point of difference to other suppliers, through our commitment to delivering the best very levels of service and audio quality, and understanding the unique demands of every event. |
"Thank you for all your hard work on Saturday. The event has only received positive feedback and we are already looking forward to next year. Hope to work with you again in future years." "Revolution Audio are a rare business that you hire because you want the best, most invested crew at your event. In 17 years of event organising I’ve never known a company or team like them.
