Revolution Audio was delighted to provide live sound for the first in a new series of monthly acoustic evenings, held at The Manor House Inn, Ditcheat. Organised by singer-songwriter Aj Webber, the event brought together quality musicians from around the local area for an evening of musical entertainment. We provided our “B Rig” system, using two QSC K10s as main speakers. These fantastic speakers combine a very small size and discrete design with very high power and a smooth, yet detailed sound that amply filled the venue with depth, warmth and clarity. The stage featured our usual line-up of Shure Beta 58A microphones and BSS AR-133 DI Boxes, but we also provided an Audix ADX-51 which did a fantastic job of picking up guitars without pickups, giving a warm, genuine and detailed sound. We are thrilled with the sound quality of the evening, with the balance and tone achieved described by Aj Webber as “perfect” and “spot on”. We’re looking forward to being back on January 10th! London Hardcore band TRC have been touring around the UK supported by Polar and Prowler, and Revolution Audio was delighted to provide live audio services for their Yeovil leg, held at The Liberal Club on December 1st. Organised by Arc Promotions, the show featured all three touring bands as well as two more local support acts, Housefires and From The Red. At Revolution Audio we provided our full “A Rig” system with full stacks of HK Projector, which amply filled the room and provided powerful, yet still detailed sound. This, combined with our superb selection of microphones and Soundcraft Si Compact Digital Mixing system gave room shaking kick drums, thick walls of guitars and punchy vocals, impressing all the bands. Stage monitoring was provided by 3 DB Technologies M10-2 Plus monitors, which allowed for clear stage sound while keeping the small space clear with their small footprint, while drummers enjoyed even fuller sound with a QSC K10. TRC’s tour manager also complimented the efficiency with which the production was managed. With fast changeovers and slick stage management, the teamwork between Revolution Audio staff was another key to the success of the evening. Ross McKendrick of Arc Promotions, said: “We have worked with Revolution Audio on numerous occasions, and as a result of their extremely high quality and professional service, Joel and Revolution Audio have found themselves as our resident audio providers! Joel has a knack in producing impeccable sound at live shows, and can cater to any demand. The team at Revolution Audio are hard working and friendly at all times, nothing is ever too much for them, and their highly professional demeanor ensures that even the toughest situation runs as smoothly as possible.” For information on how we can help make your next live event a success, click here.
