As part of a drive to showcase the importance of live music, and to promote it for the future, bands and organisers in Yeovil recently came together to organise seven hours of live music, all in aid of supporting the local music industry. Revolution Audio was selected to provide sound for “The Resurrection”, and once again we utilised stacks of HK Audio Projector to amply fill the town centre venue. Our usual and comprehensive selection of microphones and DI boxes ensured great flexibility and sound quality for all the acts, ranging from acoustic to metal with everything in between. A challenging load-in and changeover schedule meant that efficient setup and production was a key aspect to the event’s success, and once again Revolution Audio delivered, with time-saving equipment and processes such as our CAT5 MADI Digital Snake system, as well as our highly professional team of stage crew and engineers. Indeed, every single one of the Revolution Audio team are musicians and have played in bands themselves, and this has given us unique knowledge thanks to working on both sides of the mixing desk, and has helped us work very closely and efficiently with artists and organisers alike. The sound quality of the system, as well as the effiency of production was commented on by many, as well as Jay Issacs; Front of House engineer for headline act The Tiny Face Experience. The event was a great success, highlighting the importance of the local music industry and the important role it plays, and we at Revolution Audio were delighted to have played our part.
